Development of online wedding planning tool

Moposa is an online wedding planning tool that helps couples across Ireland and the UK to organise their big day. Partnering with venues, a range of tools are available such as guestlists, budget, lookbooks and wedding website. As the in-house designer I was responsible for developing many of the visual aspects of the website and overall brand, such as the UI, illustrations, email templates and social media assets.

  • Client: Eventovate
  • Role: Design
  • Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML & CSS
  • Credits: Created at Eventovate

Once logged in, the user accesses a personalised dashboard displaying an overview of budget, a to-do list and guest information.
Selecting the Guestlist leads to a section featuring various categorisation options and space for storing guest details. This section also enables users to create venue seating plans, record food preferences for the meal and keep track of gifts received.

The Look is an area where users store their inspiration and "snip" ideas from other users - Pinterest style. The "snip" card design of this section was established after many iterations and extensive user testing.

A friendly, geometric illustration style was developed to be utilised across the site, on social media and across email and print materials. Deviating from the typical floral decorative style associates with weddings, it takes a modern, pared back route, differentiating the brand from the competition and signifying Moposa's "techy" status.

The landing page of Moposa features a short explanatory animation introducing the service to customers. I worked with the fantastic motion designer and animator Tautas Jazbutis to create the video, providing him with storyboards, a script and creative direction.
