After time spent living and working in London, Toronto, Dublin and Sheffield, I am now based in Cork in the south of Ireland. A UI & UX designer who loves to learn new things, I have a particular interest in the psychology of user behaviour.
I'm currently freelancing for a range of clients working on a nice, broad variety of projects. This includes product design, carrying out UX/UI reviews, creating and developing brands, and some short animation pieces.
Recent projects have included creating animated gifs for a chatbot startup, working on the interface for a motion control system interface and developing the brand and design components of an e-learning startup. Other projects completed include websites for Sony Music artists, app design and an illustration suite for Full Health Medical, branding work for UCC and a website for an international high technology manufacturing company.
I worked at digital agency Arise where I had the opportunity to collaborate on websites for a wide variety of lovely clients. Completed projects include the social presence reporting tool Show My Social, a website for an art therapist and a promotional site for a soccer training tool devised by former Sheffield Wednesday player Miguel Llera.
As a digital designer at Jaywing I was involved in a range of exciting projects working with big clients such as Yorkshire Water, first direct, Keepmoat and Irwin Mitchell. Jaywing is the the largest agency in the North of England and was recently voted the best large agency in the Prolific North Awards.
Pixel Design is an award winning web design agency in Dublin city centre, specialising in projects involving the arts. I spent time there honing my web skills on a variety of projects including the branding and website design of Let's Deal Different – an Irish based Groupon competitor, a site to coincide with the launch of greeting cards app CleverCards in the USA and a large and indepth site for the Dublin university DIT's technology transfer office.
I was the lead UI designer at Eventovate, an award-winning SaaS supplier to the hotel industry. I was responsible for all design work in the company, predominantly working on the main product, Moposa – an online wedding tool. This included working with the in-house developers on wireframes and layouts, improving tools and functionality based on user testing and research, coding html emails, developing a script and storyboard for a two minute long introduction video animation, creating custom illustrations to be used across the Moposa site and various marketing print pieces.
One of the leading North American design agencies in the real estate market, L.A. Inc was my first employer after I finished university. I was the primary designer on The Station Condos – a 12 storey condo development in Toronto. Real estate is big business in Toronto and work on the project included branding, marketing collateral, website design and the design of a sales centre.
