Development of online wedding planning tool
Moposa is an online wedding planning tool that helps couples across Ireland and the UK to organise their big day. Partnering with venues, a range of tools are available such as guestlists, budget, lookbooks and wedding website. As the in-house designer I was responsible for developing many of the visual aspects of the website and overall brand, such as the UI, illustrations, email templates and social media assets.
On login, the user accesses a personalised dashboard. This contains an overview of budget, a to-do list and guest information. Selecting the Guestlist leads to a section featuring a guestlist various categorisation options. The option is also afforded to users to create venue seating plans and record gifts received and food preferences.
The Look is an area where users store their inspiration and "snip" ideas from other users - Pinterest style. The card design of this section involved the consideration of various user states – logged in, logged out, ownership etc. The current solution was established after many iterations and extensive user testing.
A friendly, simple, geometric illustration style was developed to be utilised across the site, on social media and across email and print materials. It deviates from the typical floral decorative wedding style and takes a more modern, pared back route, differentiating the brand from the competition and signifying it's more "techy" approach.
The landing page of Moposa features a short explanatory animation introducing the service to customers. I worked with the fantastic motion designer and animator Tautas Jazbutis to create the video, providing him with the storyboard, script and creative direction.
